For families
Hiking on the cheese trails
The 21 stages of the Vias du fromage are suitable for families and occasional walkers, with walks lasting between 1 and 4 hours.
The routes follow the historic cheese transport routes of the 17th and 18th centuries. Young and old alike will love exploring these magnificent trails, which are supported by a free smartphone app that provides information on natural and heritage attractions as well as tips on local produce.
The alpine pasture season and tracks and footprints at Vounetse
At the arrival of the Vounetse cable car in Charmey, the Park has collaborated in setting up two activities focusing on wildlife and traditions.
Among a host of activities put on by charmey.ch, the Tracks and Footprints game in collaboration with the Park invites children to search for footprints (and their owners!) hidden on the hill.
An area devoted to the mountain pasture season provides a wealth of information on the living traditions associated with it, through games and panels.
Play areas
The Park has a large number of play areas set up by local authorities and associations.
Themed trails
Several trails have been created around specific themes. They are documented in three languages (French, German, English) on signs and in a newspaper distributed at the trailheads.
