The flora found along the Les Choucas botantical trail is typical of the western limestone Prealps, and includes a number of rare species, some of which are native to the region.

Four interpretive panels, positioned at the starting point of each leg of the trail, provide a wealth of information on a particular aspect of this diverse landscape, while a fifth panel explains the age-old, and hazardous, tradition of ‘wild haymaking’.

12 trees and bushes are marked along the first section of the trail. The third leg, close to the Les Choucas mountain cabin, 25 plants that are typically found in the humid grasslands of the limestone Prealps. This document presents a selection of 75 plants that can be found along this interpretive trail.
